【摘要】:Thistestmethodallowsforthemeasurementofthetorqueretentionpropertiesofcontainer/continuousthreadclosuresystemsofvariousdesigns,materials,andmanufacture,andissuitableforpackagingdevelopmentandengineeringevaluation.Thistestmethodcanbeusedfortheevaluationofcontainer/continuousthreadclosuresystemsundercontrolledconditions(wheretheapplicationtorqueisknownandtheapplieddownwardforcetotheclosureiszero).Thistestmethodmeasurestorqueretentionpropertiesofcontainer/continuousthreadclosuresystemswiththeuseofanon-automated,springtorque-meter(witheitheradialindicatororadigitalreadout)oratorquewrench.1.1Thesetestmethodsevaluatethetorqueretentionofcontinuousthreadclosuresoncontainers,withmatchingfinishes,forpredeterminedenvironmentalconditionsovertime.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.Note18212;TheSIunitsystemistherecommendedsystem.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
